DONATION FOR COMMUNITY DISPENSARY

It has been widely told that to study, a good health and mind is essential. The study at the monastic Monastery is rigorous and good health is a must. With increase in monks, the resources of the Monastery have been stretched to their limits. The food for the monks is provided by a single community kitchen. The food is very simple and does not meet the nutrition requirements. Also when new monks joined here from Tibet, many become sick and get sores due to change in climatic condition & diet.  

   1. Dispensary recurring expenses program:

            a) The Monastery has been doing what it can to improve the condition here. When the illness become bad, we are providing 80% of medical expenses on their medical bill. But lately, we have been not that successful in doing that due to lack of fund.          

            b) We also have a dispensary where we provide free service to monks and also lay people like dressing up of sores and providing medicine for minor ailments. The recurring expenses of all these is large. With lack of funds we have been not able to provide adequate service like inviting specialist doctors from Hubli city for check up. 

2. Inviting Indian doctors for check up.

Some of the senior monks are unable to travel to Hubli for medical check due to their tight schedule as well as financial problem and transportation, dispensary also wish to invite doctors from Hubli to conduct check up for the old senior monks as well as other young monks.

3) Laying of proper road inside the dispensary:

The road that leads to the dispensary needs to repair as lots of water store there during the monsoon causing mud and more damages to the road. The road has become main one that the monks use when they go to prayer hall temple.  So it is very kind if any fund is donated for this project. 

4) Construction of another floor or cover above the present dispensary:

With no floor above or cover above the present dispensary, the ground floor where the medicine, doctor check up, patients room become very hot during the summer season, so if a proper cover or additional floor is built then it will give some cover for the ground floor and letting it become more cooler, and medicines can be stored at much cooler temperature in the room.
